Another year down, to make 12 solid years of CONSISTENTLY lifting 4 DAYS A WEEK
Week in and week out, unless I was in the hospital, deathly ill or moving lol
I don`t fuckin miss showing up for myself
The days, weeks, months and seasons passed.
I faced setbacks, divorce, trauma, hangovers, depression, injuries, illness, regressions, severe panic disorder for years, multiple pet loss, chronic pain, single parenting and solo-entrepreneurial OVERLOAD

.... I don`t fuckin miss showing up for myself
After all, showing up for yourself is the single most powerful thing you can do in this life

LETS DO IT :
๐ You`re exercising- Not TRAINING: you can workout all you want, you can even lift weights all you want- unless you`re stimulating muscle growth you will never- EVER look "toned" (which is muscle).
Muscle growth can ONLY be achieved through: Proper programming + correct form and technique + progressive TENSION.
๐ You`re guessing your nutrition: your physique goals require a custom-to-you nutrition roadmap with correct balance of macro AND micronutrients.
Hint- adequate protein is definitely key, but protein is NOT the whole picture. Match your nutrition to your physique goals- or struggle to see results.
It`s not just about the quantity of food- QUALITY matters just as much. Intake of processed foods and alcohol matters. Liver health matters. It`s a holistic energy balance.
๐ Excess cardio and/or hiit workouts: not only can this impede MUSCLE growth, it can also increase cortisol and inflammation. If anyone tells you this is a myth, they`re inexperienced.
I`ve personally worked with multiple women who I`ve helped CUT BACK on running and hiit and they saw improved change in inflammation and physique results.
๐ You are under eating and/or in an over-restriction/binge cycle. This cycle isn`t just mentally harmful, it`s hormonally harmful as well. Eating too little lowers leptin (fullness), increases ghrelin (hunger), and spikes cortisol (stress). Plus..... NO ONE built muscle aka their dream body eating 1000 calories a day
๐ JUNK volume: again- you can be lifting... and not building muscle.
Training is a SKILL. It requires a tremendous amount of INTENSITY- STRUCTURE- INTENTIONAL MECHANICS. Throwing spaghetti at the wall in the gym will waste your mthr fkn time. You`re too hot for that โ๏ธ

Physique results SHOULD be shown TF off in my opinion ๐ and it`s fun AF to catch yourself in amazing lighting and your best pose
But just a reminder that your inherent value has nothing to do with abs or your percentage of body fat
A reminder not to compare yourself to the IG highlight reel bc nooooo one walks around posed and flexed all the time lol
And a reminder that your human vessels is simply miraculous beyond any comprehension and should be deeply honored and cherished as such....
